- Group Theory
This course is about the basics of Graph Theory.Group Theory is also called algebraic structures in many of the books. Group theory is one of the most important topic from the subject Discrete Mathematics. This course is very important for those who find this topic confusing and also for those who are preparing for GATE or UGC-Net Exams. Questions from this topics have good weight-age in competitive examinations. There is is no pre-requiste for the course but it would be good if you have basic knowledge of set theory and set operations.
You will understand the basic concepts of graph theory and would be ready to use it in further studies. The course will drive you through multiple set properties like closure, associative law, identity element, inverse and commutative law. We would be learning various types in group theory like algebraic structure, semi group, monoid, group and abelian group in this course. We would also be discussing few tricks and techniques to solve the questions quickly from competitive exam point of view. All this concepts would be taught with examples so that you would be understanding the topic for lifetime.
The course consists of quiz where you can verify your leanings from the course.
