Description
This video provides the information that is needed for new child care School (Type E) providers to maintain CCAP funding through the Department of Education. There is information on new legislative rules and tips for marketing your child care center.
There is also a section on dealing with Mixed-age groups and understanding the developmental progressions of the children in your care. By the end of the video, you should understand what is expected of you as a CCAP funded provider.

Program Consultant
R. Manuel has many years of experiences in the early childhood field. Mr. Manuel also has a vast amount of experience using reliable and valid assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of early childhood programs. R. Manuel currently works at the Louisiana Department of Education (LDE) in the Division of Early Childhood. At LDE, Mr. Manuel serves as Program Consultant where he works with Child Care Providers, and Resource/Referral Agencies who provide trainings, technical assistance, and referrals for child care providers and for families of young children. He has also provided professional development to early childhood teachers and administrators throughout the state of Louisiana, and has presented at local, and state, and national conferences.
