• Unit 1 will cover some basic rules of literary expression, abbreviations, possessives, apostrophes, literary devices, colloquialisms, and avoiding big words.

• Students will know how to frame concise sentences and understand long and run-on sentences. Finally, the unit will cover basic grammar rules like tenses and personal perspective in academic writing.

• Unit 2 students will learn to find references and differentiate between credible and noncredible sources. How to paraphrase sentences without changing their meaning

• Students will learn about plagiarism. Different types of plagiarism, and finally, discover kinds of references, in-text citations, rules of referencing and reference lists. In the reference style, we will talk about APA 7, Harvard.

• In Unit 3, students will learn about the structure of essays and reports. Students will be able to write a topic with its thesis statement. The body of the essay, which includes the title page, introduction, main body, conclusion and reference list

• Students will learn about report structure and table of contents. Finally, they will learn formatting with video tutorials like how to add the table of contents, cover page, header/footer, change line and paragraph spacing, change margins, and add a citation and reference list.

• In unit 4, students will learn how to write an essay with their ideas. They will be able to differentiate between descriptive and critical writing. The unit will help understand how to interpret a topic and use the 6-step diagram in the essay.
