Hi, I’m Matt.
For more than 17 years I’ve been solving problems in the digital space. Whether consulting in the field of User Experience and Usability, or advising businesses on their Strategic Roadmap, I bring a wide range of award-winning first-hand successes to the table. At diff my title is Chief Experience Officer (CXO), which means that I’m responsible for the Experience of our Clients as well as the Experience Design of our clients’ products. And with my background as a Project Management Professional (PMP), I can provide oversight and guidance to steward complex and multi-tiered projects, all while employing best practices in User Experience.
Shared experiences is what unites us as people, and I love sharing my professional experience, good or bad, with as many students as I can. I believe strongly in delivering beautiful, easy to use solutions to my clients, and I share how I’ve done this in my career through a multitude of public channels. I have led the User Experience Design Program at George Brown College’s School of Continuing Studies in Toronto since 2014 where I have written and developed course curriculum on a multitude of topics. I have also been fortunate enough to speak about the work I’m doing at conferences, meetups, and special events throughout the country and abroad. These are opportunities for sharing knowledge that add value over simply recounting theory or process.
What’s different about my courses? My teaching style, while integrating the usual auditory, visual and kinesthetic elements, also involves a huge component of reality. I’m an industry professional, so you’ll be hearing from someone who lives and breathes what is being taught, which is a complete 180 vs. what the typical academic brings to the table.
