Presently a multitude of quantitative indicators is available for assessing research productivity. There is no single metric that can be used to assess the author's overall impact. The selection of specific metrics is determined by the evaluation's objective and interpretation. The main purpose of this course is to provide an insight into the most commonly used author impact indicators as well as philosophies on how to best use them. To evaluate researchers and authors effectively based on assessment objective, that is supported by information collected from various global, national, and journal articles. Mohan P. Thakre received the B.Tech. and M.Tech degree in electrical power engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (Dr. BATU), Maharashtra, India, in 2009 and 2011 respectively, the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, (VNIT), Nagpur, Maharashtra, India in 2017. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education & Research, Nashik, India. His research interests include Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) and Power System Protection.
