Welcome to my Udemy course on Fall Prevention and Recovery Education. Participants of this course will learn about the importance of fall prevention and recovery education for older adults residing in a continuing care community, facility staff, and community-dwelling older adults. They will also learn what occupational therapy’s role in fall prevention and recovery education is, as well as how important interdisciplinary collaboration is for this topic. Participants will gain an understanding of the common barriers to occupational performance older adults face regarding falls. This Udemy course contains lectures, resources, various research, and videos to support the implementation of fall prevention and recovery programming within a continuing care community. These materials are available to download to help enhance participants’ learning experience during this course. At the end of the course, there is a short quiz to assess participants’ knowledge gained as a result of this class. This course may take up to an hour to complete and was developed using the most current evidence-based practice research and clinical experience by the author. At the end of the course, participants will have access to view APA-style references for all materials used, as well as linked within the extra learning resources.
