This was very informative. I am now looking for information on legalities (what kind of licenses, etc.) are required to produce. I imagine this is specific to the local government.

Keeps telling me what he is going to teach me but not teaching me anything.
I needed this kick in the pants. I was shooting for the moon with my ideas for a show when what I really need to be doing is GRINDING! I am in the DEEP suburbs in a major metropolitan area. This course even applies to me. I already have a show in a huge venue booked three months out, but how the hell was i supposed to know I needed to be grinding like Brendon says! Now I am ready to use some of this great info to approach local venues and get thing GOING! The sample emails and "math" on facebook were worth the price alone. But you also get a fun and engaging lesson on the BASICS. I'm going to keep dreaming but START GRINDING! P.S. I know zero comedians, Brendon obviously knows tons. A lot of his advise kinda depends ont he fact that you know some folks in the business already. Still 5 stars.
I was looking for training in booking a comedy tour. I've finished section 2 and the instructor hasn't taught anything about researching venues, reaching talent or marketing techniques. Seriously, all he said was push the show and get fliers to do show barking. I didn't realize we were booking shows in the 1990's. When you're traveling, you don't have time to "bark" a show up. If the audience isn't there by the time you are, it's too late. I've been running shows for over 15 years between clubs, bars and corporate events. Covid put a serious wrench in my workflow. Lots of venues have closed and it's difficult to find the ones that survived or uncover new venues that have opened. I was looking for info to give my booking process a boost. Also, The "intro music" needs to be taken out. It doesn't add any production value, it's annoying and it makes it difficult to hear the instructor and focus. The course gets worse. The instructors first suggestion of making money is "pass the hat". You might make $50 after putting 4-6 hours of booking talent, marketing online, and hauling your equipment to and from the event. Save your money and pass on this class.
Great information about how to produce a comedy show, which is what I was looking to do for a while, but never knew how and what needed to be done. Great course!
Great Course. I host shows and needed some more info and ideas. thank you
