Master World Crafter
I worked in Utah's game industry for 5 years before going indie. I decided to go indie and turn to making educational content for people. My college experience wasn't amazing, so I aim to give people the condensed version of the years of research, and trial and error that I went through into a comprehensive lesson.
Working on my 3rd indie game release for mobile.
I also teach college and high school students using the methods in this course.
I collect toys, play music and I'm obsessed with 3D creation/Blender.
The fer texture was the best one. The other texture I found some what lacking in quality. I would have like to see you actually paint a model with the texture you created instead of just seeing them on a flat side of a cube or plain.

Muy buen curso para aprender a pintar tus propias texturas, pero se queda corto, porque no toca temas como creación de bumps, normal maps O similares.
The course did not cover the material specified in the overview.
Specifically 'Paint tile-able textures within Blender.' is covered by 1 2-minute snippet at the end of the course.
The course shows how to create new flat textures, but offers no guidance or coverage on how to actually paint those textures *on to models* or anything similarly useful.
I feel the instructor is very knowledge about the topic but the course it self is base line basic it doesn't cover the necessary knowledge to get a good start of operating the tools within texture painting process. If I didn't already know how to use some of Blender's tools I would of been lost from the beginning. The assignments could you more detail as a student I would like direction to understanding what is necessary for an assignment. There are a few things I would like to understand more such as when creating the painted textures how much of lighting direction should I consider. Or if I make a mistake how to erase without having to repaint over the whole area. This is a very short class and easy to understand what is going on within painting of an texture.
The handpainted textures in Blender is an interesting topic. The narrator's voice is correct, so I like this course.
First of all, I have to say that this course has the greatest intro I've ever seen! And the instructor has the perfect tutorial voice - he speaks clearly and is easy to understand.
The course gets straight to the point and cuts out the fat. The short videos keep each topic organized, easy to digest and are a god-send for reference. I can see myself revisiting this course just for the ease in finding the specific workflow I need to brush up on.
I also like how the instructor has included his real-time process videos along with the sped up versions that he has narrated.
This course is highly recommended.
With this course, I've learned what I needed to stand on my own. The instructor is very experienced and knows how to handle those starting from scratch.
