Rand Brenner
Licensing and Intellectual Property Management
Rand Brenner is CEO of Licensing Consulting Group (LCG), intellectual property management and licensing company that specializes in assisting companies in strategically use their intellectual property to generate revenues. He is also the founder of Licensing4Profits, an online resource offering training, coaching, and courses on licensing and how to use it to make money with all types of intellectual property.
His licensing experience includes medical devices, health care technology, consumer products, food, entertainment, software, digital media, and more. Rand has led international licensing programs as both licensee and licensor for startups and Fortune 500 companies, and through licensing consulting projects focused on strategy, marketing, and business development initiatives.
Before founding LCG, Rand was Vice President of Licensing at Saban Entertainment, where he managed the licensing program for the wildly successful Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Rand was also a licensing executive at Warner Bros. Consumer Products where he licensed out several high-profile theatrical, television, and publishing properties, including Batman and Batman II movies, the animation classic Looney Tunes (i.e. Bugs Bunny).
Rand published his first book, Hidden Wealth: The Money Making Power of Licensing, which is available on Amazon. His articles about licensing appearing in several magazines, including The Licensing Journal, Intellectual Property Magazine, and License India. He’s a contributing writer in Creating New Ventures published by the California State University Fullerton Center for Entrepreneurship.
Rand also speaks on licensing at business, startup, and investment conferences. Some of these include the UCI Business School, MedTech Monday Conference, Medical Device Manufacturing Trade Show, ICFO Capital Conferences, and Fast Start Studios startup incubator.
Rand received his undergraduate degree in Advertising from California State University - San Jose and his Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He lives in Orange County, CA, and volunteers as a Judge for the CSUF Entrepreneurship’s business plan and venture launch presentations and a mentor at the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics.
