Orson Welles - the best film director, Part 1

I'm Julian iliev and Im an independent filmmaker and film historian. I'm inviting you to join my course Orson Welles - the best director of the 20th century.

In this class we will examine all the aspects of several of Orson Welles’s films. We will look at The Magnificent Ambersons and The Lady from Shanghai. Learning about these films you will understand how Orson Welles change the cinema forever. We will not talk about his first film Citizen Kane, because I have a whole another class dedicated to that film.

Orson Welles is probably the director that is most studied in University classes. Almost every one of his films have left a sequence in the history of cinema. Moreover you will see that many techniques that audiences are mesmerized by in recent years have been pioneered by him many years ago.

Regardless if you are a professionals filmmaker or amateurs enthusiast or just a normal viewer I guarantee you will learn something new. This class will help you to either understand film better or to make our movie stand out.

This class is about film history, this class is about magic, this class is about visual poetry as seen in Orson Welles’s career. I believe our past is integral part of our future, so if you want to know the cinema future, first you should know the person that single handedly changed it.
