This course is tailored for the beginner and intermediate learners. NLP stands for Natural Language Processing, which is a part of Computer Science, Human language, and Artificial Intelligence. It is the technology that is used by machines to understand, analyze, manipulate, and interpret human's languages. Natural Language Understanding (NLU) helps the machine to understand and analyze human language by extracting the metadata from content such as concepts, entities, keywords, emotion, relations, and semantic roles. Even though NLP is not a new domain, it catches attention of significant researches all over the world. Natural languages are usually used by human for verbal or written communication such as English, Marathi, Spanish etc. . NLP has its roots in 8th decade of previous century. It is branch of Artificial Intelligence which deals with processing of natural languages, specifically for some pragmatics. Its significance lies in applications developed by developers to make lives of common man easy and comfortable. Now a days this is one of the domain of research. There are typical phases of NLP such as morphological analysis, syntax analysis, semantic analysis, discourse analysis, pragmatic analysis and phonological analysis if required in an application.
