In this free course, you will learn how to read and write in Persian. Persian has 32 alphabet letters but 29 sounds? why? well, you have to watch this series of videos to get the answer to many questions and also think about many other questions that might pop up in your mind about the differences between languages.
Here, I will teach you about Persian, which is also called Farsi in Iran. We discover how it is different from Tajik and Dari. We cover the Persian alphabet, see lots of Persian vocabulary with those letters, learn how to read them and the vocabulary, discover their sounds, and talk about exceptional sounds and borrowed letters. Moreover, at the end of each session, we try to use the letters we have learned to make sentences and change those sentences to texts. At the end of the course, you will be able to read an extract from the Persian translation of the book 'The Little Prince', written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and translated to Persian by one of the most influential Iranian poems, Ahmad Shamlou.
Make sure you watch all four videos so you don't miss any. In the last video, you will see an introduction to my courses on Persian language.
