Award-winning Author and Entrepreneur
Carrie Butler is an award-winning author and graphic designer. Time away from her desk is spent playing with her dog, yelling at the TV during hockey season, and indulging in various forms of geekery—not to mention wielding a thousand-degree pen!
The Mark of Nexus series has appeared on Amazon bestselling, top-rated, and hot new release lists in various genres. It has also been mentioned in publications like USA Today and Writing New Adult Fiction—a how-to from Writer’s Digest
Thanks. That's a lot of valuable information.... Took the fear of publishing off my mind...
I was looking for a general overview but Carrie's course was much more detailed than expected. She offers information on, and tips and further resources for every stage in the publishing process (both traditional and self-publishing). Her videos are a easy to understand and engaging. Even though I haven't made up my mind yet which kind of publishing I would like to try, I feel more confident and relaxed about the whole process. Thank you for a great course!

Its too detailed and applicable on American markets mostly, at f the lecturer stated that at the beginning would be better,,,other than that the course is original and much needed.
This is just a collection of advice and instruction that I found on the internet in my own searches on how to self-publish. There's nothing new to help someone who has already done the basic work of gathering information. In addition, the information provided is too general and vague for beginners. Asking a person to "ask themselves" questions about a topic is not helpful. If they had the answers, they wouldn't need a course. I will say that the video about how to create an epub file is very helpful, but that is from another author and it's free on youtube.
This course is quick, helpful, and has tons of bonus information! Useful for the uninitiated, the query-weary alike, and anyone holding a semi-finished manuscript. If I didn't know Carrie is still working nonstop and contributing the writing community, I might call this her magnum opus of authorly advice.
Carrie Butler has put together a comprehensive course that takes a writer through the steps of manuscript to published author. If you have a manuscript ready and no knowledge on what or how to begin to work towards publishing Carrie introduces you to genres, types and lengths of books, traditional versus self publishing, marketing including book cover design, the importance of branding and so much more. This course is easy to listen to, fun and has multiple downloadable parts of the course in text and video for the user to refer to as they begin their publishing journey. I'm a published author with multiple books under my belt, but I still picked up some helpful tips from this course.
