David Ford
Screenwriter, Director, Actor, Proudcer
My name is David and I live in a small town in East Texas. I began writing screenplays my freshman year in college. I spent many years learning the craft of screenwriting while getting rejected over and over. It was also in college that I started trying out for roles in film. After working on many movie sets and writing many screenplays, I decided that I was going to start making my own films. I teach two courses at Udemy. One is in screenwriting and the other is in independent film-making. I have had success in both areas and would like to give you some practical knowledge on how you could do the same. I have had a screenplay nominated at the International Christian Film Festival and both of my movies have won awards. If screenwriting and making movies are your passion, or you want to learn how to either, check out my affordable, short, and practical courses.

This was all need since i made a decision to become a film maker and writing my own script.
I have learned many things so far and am motivated to learn more.
Good so far, as I am a complete newbie. I am learning alot from this course so far and will complete it soon.
it is easy to undersand
A great place to start when attempting your first script. I've studied novel writing for several years for my foundation. This course assumes you at least have a functional understanding of story writing. As a side note, I was pleasantly surprised Scrivener supports screenwriting. Good luck!
it was very informative but very short
I just took this course, for a week. I was busy writing my outline and trying to transfer it to screenwriting softwares. While I don't have Final Draft, I have a cheaper version of screenwriting app from Apple. (It's called Logline Screenwriting app. It's free, but you can use it, and once you upgrade it, there will be a price cut on screenwriting app, for current users of the app.) This course is very educational and practical for the beginner screenwriter. Now, David Ford said that after you complete the course, he recommended finding screenwriting books, to help you learn how to screen write. I love this course. It's basic lessons, and very practical. I will be looking for useful screenwriting books to help me master my writing.
I am enjoying the course and finding it easy to understand and follow.
This is a kind of experience I always wanted and im enjoying the course so far.
Yes, this is a good match for me. I wrote one script years ago and needed a refresher, this works.
