This sample course is helpful. I'm glad that the author recorded it himself. I already have his book, which addresses the content of the larger course. It's nice to hear his voice. It's like attending a seminar.
Nicely explained, ideas presented will give greater insight into approaching any written task. thank you
It is clear that this mini-course was created as a marketing tool for his other classes, publishing company, and the books he has written. But unfortunately, while Rick shows he understands show don't tell, he has not mastered the art of using it. With the exception of one - the man sitting on a bench - the examples used in this course are terrible and they need work. The overuse of the name Tony in the wizard example was off-putting. Also, the Information Dumping video repeats at the end. This should have been edited out. I did not learn much from this mini-course, and it does not compel me to take another course with Rick.

Watching allot of courses, reading allot of fiction books until the end of the year. Then I’m going to write a fantasy novel and publish it. Also learned allot on this free course.❤️
Starting of the course was amazing though I lost interest in middle . In section 3 there was repetition of paid course detail, besides video/audio was not clear for me. Whereas section 4 also was not informative enough. Section 5 was much more better and interesting.
Great first steps for starting out your story, and some of these advices can be used in other types of writings.

All I can say is wow. 1st, there is no Q and A section in case you wanted to ask a question. The course is extremely short. He said that's the end of the course and I had 2 lessons left. Udemy needs to do a better job of screening these "instructors ". This is the 4th on I've bought that I'm not thrilled with. He doesn't seem knowledgeable.
Loved how crisp and onpoint the mini course was. Also the bonus lectures are quite motivating for me to start writing ?
These are things I have already known and am doing. Rick made me laugh because I haven’t touched my first draft for 13 months except to painfully reread it one time with no inner strength to face it again. When he said no one can do this but you yourself, I laughed but felt caged and am aware that there’s no escape except to go forward and face these fears, eliminate them
