Description
Succeeding in any business takes commitment hard work. Although most business owners do work hard and are fully committed to their business, many fail in their business endeavour. Often this is because they are busy working in their business but overlook some basics that will ensure their business success.
The Cornerstones of Business Survival describes the essentials of what any business owner or manager needs to know and to do in order to survive in business. These cornerstones are also the foundation of business success. These are those basic steps that many businesses overlook and either fail or struggle, while other businesses that adhere to these cornerstones thrive.

Lawrence Hamilton
I am now retired, but want to pass on what I have learned to a larger audience of those seeking to go into, or already in business.
I can offer students more than 40 years of knowledge gained in business in roles in sales, marketing, and management in both large and small businesses, and as a trainer, coach and mentor to prospective and current business managers, within leading Australian post-secondary educational institutions . Supporting this experience I have formal qualifications in accounting, marketing, management, and in training and assessing.
One of my roles as a business trainer was to take adult students wanting to start their own business from having a business idea, through the steps of research and planning their business idea, testing it for viability, then actually starting up that business, and following up with coaching and mentoring them as they built their business.
Training I delivered included , testing business viability, researching the marketplace, developing a business plan, bookkeeping and accounting basics needed by small business managers, business sustainability, workplace safety, and dealing with employees and contractors – all necessary to successfully operate and build a business.
And, I look forward to assisting future students in my courses.

Reviews
This was a short course. It was excellent that it brought the point home quickly and concisely of the basics to run a small business. The details are left open for more advanced courses, but most people don't get the basics right and we need to know how to crawl and walk before we can run. This course will point you in the right direction so you can run later.
Sound could be improved. Course was interesting even if only listing some general ideas. And it's free
Short but very useful
First if you are starting a new business like I have I expect you're looking at multiple videos to help you achieve your business goals. I like what Laurence has to offer and he made it easy to understand. I gave 5 stars for 2 reasons the cost and the value of the material in this course. I will review this training multiple times as I feel what I learned is important and valuable.
