Mihailo Djura Popov

Mihailo Popov's career as an experienced business expert was defined by a series of major responsibilities that contributed to his excellent success in sales, marketing and management.
Mihailo Popov started his career as a procurement manager at the "Wizard", an Italian owned company, where he was in charge of domestic and import procurement, warehouse stocks, tender organization and daily communication with the production manager.
He then moved to the "Zorka Keramika", Serbian ceramic tile producer, as part of a procurement team that carried out a €13 million investment process, negotiating purchase arrangements and communicating with domestic and foreign suppliers, transport companies and customs officials.
In 2009, he was appointed export sales manager at the "Zorka Keramika", where he excelled in market intelligence, scouting, contract negotiation and coordination of sales activities on the markets of the former Yugoslavia and the EU. He also oversaw POS branding, brand development and maintained constant daily contact with insurance companies, shipping companies and customs officials.
In 2012, he became Key Account Manager at the "Zorka Keramika", where he focused on servicing key accounts, implementing marketing strategies, brand development, market scanning and educating professional staff, architects and civil engineers on new approaches in terms of quality standards, production techniques, and ceramic tile applications.
Mihailo joined "Dsitribution and Transportation Systems" Serbia as Chief Commercial Officer in 2013, where he was instrumental in the introduction of new methods of daily business, organization of sales and marketing, and logistics development.
Later that year, he became director of sales at the "Magic Fruits Land", where he was responsible for sales and marketing organization, marketing intelligence, brand development and packaging design.
From 2014 to 2015, he was part of the "Tikveš Winery" team, where he oversaw daily sales and market development, establishing long-term partnerships with customers and the wholesale network. He also ensured the proper presence of the product according to the company's standards and instructed the customers on how to use the product properly.
From the moment he left his position at the "Zorka Keramika", he was active as a business consultant for some of the most famous Italian manufacturers of building materials. His expertise in construction materials economics has led to the publication of several of his papers in leading industry journals.
His entry into the trucking industry was quite an interesting one. It all started as helping a friend get through a tough time his company was in, and ended up playing a key role in the development of three trucking companies that have grown from just a few trucks to tens of millions in annual revenue over the past few years.
And all from his office in a small town in Serbia. The wonders of 21st century technology have been used to their full capacity, we can tell you that.
Throughout his career, Mihailo Popov has shown a consistent focus on market research, strategic planning, building relationships and implementing new ways of doing business.
