This course is based on my dissertation titled " Business Model Transformation as a response to digital technology adoption amongst manufacturing firms". As you are aware, there are a lot of courses that have emerged over the years on business models in general. Most courses focus on the digital transformation of a business model and neglect other factors that may transform a business model. This course will fill that gap while also focusing on digital technologies and their influence on transforming business models. This is relevant because of the fourth industrial revolution currently occurring today. This course will also equip you with knowledge on Business Model, how the Business Model can and is changed and also how the Business Model can be Innovated. Lastly it will also look at how the Business Model can be transformed and after the transformation process the course will also look at how it can be classified and measured. Understanding your Business Model and the various factors that can affect it is very crucial in today’s uncertain world especially for the competitiveness of the company. Without a sustainable and adaptive business model, it will be difficult for any firm to weather the external threats while strengthening internal capabilities to compete.
