This short course is a comprehensive guide to solving all sorts of ordinary simple annuity problems. I will provide you with a neat comprehensive set of notes for all of the examples. You will develop a sense of confidence as you progress through these problems from the simplest ones to more complex problems. They will all be reduced into smaller components that look just like the simplest problems.
You will also be instructed on the use of the built-in functions for the BA II Plus financial calculator which will be a great time saver to you (provided you understand the basics). This course will take you about 3-4 days to complete with about 2 hours spent on each section.
You will also be able to test your understanding of the material with quizzes that are provided at the end of each section.
If you are interested in mathematics of finance and would like to study these topics in more depth, then this is an excellent introduction to the formulas used with Annuities and how to solve finance problems.
To fully appreciate the concepts of Annuities and how time and rates affect the value of currency, you may wish to go over the learning materials found in the Compound Interest
Be sure that you have a financial calculator with you as you are going through the examples. If you do not have such a calculator, a scientific calculator with exponent function and a logarithm function will suffice.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to use the message system to ask! I am always checking to see how my students are progressing through their courses.
