I’m Michael Dale and I’ve been helping people with anxiety for many years in my work as a life coach. I’ve also dealt with my own debilitating anxiety that got so bad so I had to go to a mental health clinic. I remember it vividly. My anxiety got so intense that it escalated into a full-blown panic attack that lasted 2 weeks and ended in me having a nervous breakdown and being admitted to one of the most expensive mental health clinics in London. But it didn’t really help. All they offered me was medication and a very basic recovery program that I never really got much benefit from.
I have no judgments about medication I know it helps many people but I was absolutely determined not to become dependant on a pill with potentially harmful, unknown side-effects, it’s just not what I wanted for my life. So Instead, I began a 17 year journey of trying everything I possibly could to relieve my anxiety. From ten day silent meditation retreats to trauma therapy to exposure therapy to ice baths to saunas to high intensity exercise to diet changes to vitamin tests to indigenous rituals to sacred plant medicines and more but the truth is, there is no one anxiety relief strategy that works for everyone.
