Hi students, this is Carol, your turor. How are you feeling today? What is it that you want to deaL with? Welcome to this little course and God bless you as we learn together about the power of daily baby steps on the journey to destiny and freedom.
Week by week, together we will look at little changes. As we choose new ways of thinking and take baby steps to new behaviour, the long term benefits will build up. One example is, replacing biscuits with fruit. At first it is a new choice, but with daily repetition, we can develop it into new habit. You are not alone, I will take the journey with you as we keep in touch. I will keep reminding you that the journey is worth it. You can do this. You can live a better life.
I am on a journey with Jesus and I have had to face a vatriety of emotional struggles. I share the course with you, not to give you a qualification, but to spur you on to a better life.
I have found help in CBT, in daily exercises on my bright pink mat, walking my little dog and keeping connected to friends and family. I have found help also in reading the bible and going to church to connect with other believers in Jesus. I also enjoy art and am at the moment finding inspiration from my favourite artists. Vangough is among them, and I know that he faced mental health issues in his life. He left behind a wonderful legacy of amazing pictures.
Today I am relaunching the course which has been dormant for a while. I do so after a strange and heart breaking year. In April I met my bilolgical father for the fisrt time after exchanging emails and phone calls for a few months. Sadyl he died after a battle with cancer. Then a couple of weeks later, my husband was also taken from me in an accident.
I tell you this dear frinds to remind you that no matter what happens and whatever emotions we go through, we still need to live our lives. We still need to choose each day to get out of bed and to step into the day. I have found the last year so very difficult, but I refuse to give up hope or to stop living. May you know that your life can still be lived in hope and purpose asy ou afce your isues and your emotions. As Paul wrote to the Philippians, when we have all we need, or when we are facing shartages, we can face it and live through it because of Jesus our hope and power.
What are our struggles dear friend? You have hope to move passed them, even as you feel defeated and destroed by them, God loves you and cheers you on to healing. I am no health guru. I am just a weoman who loves God and has been helped by His love. Read Romans 8 a few times to remind yourself that it is His love that will carry you through.
Watch the videos, which are not professional, but a little message from one person to another. Read the notes and soak in any scriptures I quote. Take the course at your pace and watch for change as you decide to take baby steps and choose to grow into maturity.
I made this course available to you free because I believe that we each are called to help each other freely to grow in Christ and to find hope in Him. It is based on personal sharing, biblical teaching, ideas from CBT and practical tips to setting and managingy our own pace of change.
