Just Breathe 101 Diaphragm in Critical Care for Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists is a specific course dealing with the diaphragm in a critical care setting. This course goes into detail on the anatomy and physiology of the diaphragm as it relates to injury and illness. It goes into detail on how the diaphragm responds to critical care situations and ventilation. Multiple current studies are reviewed and suggestions are made for approaches to care.

Debra Dent is a Physical Therapist with 40 plus years of experience specializing in manual therapy of the spine. She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, Canada where she received her Diploma of Physiotherapy in 1977 and her Bachelors of Physical Therapy in 1979. She was certified as a Part A Manual Physical Therapist from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division in 1989 and received her Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 1994, and was a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual Physical Therapist (FCAMPT) until retiring 2019. APTA Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) designation was completed in 1996 and recertified in 2006 and Emeritus status was received in 2016. She has been teaching Physiotherapists since 1989. Debra was an instructor for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division prior to moving to the USA in 1993. She was a guest clinical instructor at the University of South Florida from 2003-05, teaching the Spinal Manual Therapy Program. Debra has taught many live manual therapy courses in the US, Canada, and the Caribbean through Cross Border Seminars, Cross Country Education/VYNE Seminars, and TLC Physical Therapy and Rehab. She wrote the Segmental Stabilization of the Lumbar Spine for Northeast Seminars Online programs. She has also written Proximal Imposters, a four-part series with Live Conferences for Occupational Certified Hand Specialists in 2017. She has an online presence in Canada on embodiaapp and in the UK on Physiopedia with numerous courses and videos. She has also written online courses for the general public called Breathing Essentials on udemy and teachable that relate to breathing-related dysfunction and core dysfunction.
Debra has also written and published Differential Diagnosis of the Spine softcover and kindle editions in 2016 (available on Amazon).
She owns Cross Border Seminars and presently works as a consultant and contract PT in Florida. Her primary caseload is Rheumatology and spine.
