Requirements for the course
You are fluent in at least two languages. If you intend to work in Ireland, you must have English proficiency level no lower than B2 under CEFR.

What is community interpreting?
Public service interpreting or community interpreting, as it is also known, is an umbrella term, that covers interpreting in public service settings, such as healthcare (hospitals, doctors' appointments), law enforcement (police and court), immigration (refugee centres), housing, welfare, and so on.
Why do you need to take this course?
Working in these settings demands a certain level of professionalism from an interpreter due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the communication, and specific terminology involved.
