Hi I'm Chef Azmir. 18 years ago I entered the food industry and became a professional chef about 5 years later. Among my past positions are as a Chief Baker at Great Harvest Bread Co. Honolulu, Hawaii, an offshore Campboss onboard Dpdsv Toisa Paladin London, a Junior Sous Chef at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Kuala Lumpur, a Head Chef at Ibis Styles Hotel Kuala Lumpur and as an Executive Chef at Coffea Coffee.
I founded the Masterbaker Academy of Malaysia in 2013 where I designed a 2 months certification in bakery & pastry course that has turned many with zero knowledge in baking to individuals that are ready to start their career in the industry in just that short period of time. Some have even opened their own bakery and some even started their own baking classes. I then sold the academy on 2016 to open a cookie factory in Sabah, Malaysia.
My journey climbing the Chef's ladder from commis 3 / cook 3 all the way up to an Executive Chef wasn't an easy one. But i consider myself as a the lucky ones that managed to climb up in a considerably short time frame.
I have always love teaching and got a passion for spreading knowledge and positiveness. I'm not just going to teach you how to bake or cook. I will basically share the secrets of the trade for succeeding in your career as a chef and as a business owner in the multi billion F&B industry.
